We have been doing some great learning the past few weeks in 208! Several students have taken ownership of their knowledge and presented to the class. So far, we have learned about the Eiffel Tower, and purses made in Mexico! We also earned our first panther paw party! Students had a goal of 10 paws earned for positive behavior in school. We reached our goal last week and celebrated by having an extra recess period on Friday afternoon! Our next goal is 15 paws, and I am awarding paws specifically for listening with attention. Go Panthers! We also celebrated International Day of Peace on Monday. Check out these photos from the day!

One of the topics we discussed during this first week is growth mindset. This year we'll be frequently talking about having a growth mindset, or positive attitude where students believe they can change their brain and make it smarter and stronger. We set goals in areas we'd like to improve, how we plan to train our brains, and took time illustrating what a growth mindset would look like achieving that goal. |
